Dallas Cowboys cornerback Jourdan Lewis filled in for teammate Amani Oruwariye after he made a special team error that prevented the Cowboys from taking a late lead in Monday night’s 27-20 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals.
With two minutes left in the game, Cowboys linebacker Nick Vigil deflected a punt, but instead of leaving the ball in Cincinnati territory, Oruwariye tried to recover it. However, the ball bounced off Oruwariye and the Bengals recovered, giving them a new string of defeats:

The Bengals made their new lease of life come true when quarterback Joe Burrow threw a game-winning 40-yard touchdown pass to Ja’Marr Chase with 1:01 left:
According to ESPN Todd ArcherLewis made it clear he wasn’t placing blame for the loss on Oruwariye’s shoulders, saying: “We can’t judge him. None of us played a perfect game. You can’t judge someone based on a single decision,” he thought. He can make a play. I can’t blame him for that.
